1. Do I need a clean driving licence?
You should have two minor driving offences as a maximum over the last three years. If you have any other offences then they will be considered on an individual basis.
2. Is there a Minimum age for members.
The age range is between 30 and 70. Applicants between 25 and 30 will be considered on an individual basis.
3. What experience do I need?
You will have had a full driving licence for at least 5 years and if you haven't got any experience of owning high performance vehicles you may be asked to take a 1 day high performance driving course.
4. At what times can the cars be collected and returned?
The cars can be collected from 11 am and must be returned by 9.30am the day they are due back. We will understand if you are a few minutes late but please try and remember we may need to prepare the car for the next member to a standard which you will come to expect.
5. Are the cars limited or restricted in any way?
No. So please have an ounce of respect. Don't take the cars over 3500rpm until the oil is warm. (It only takes 10 minutes!)
We expect people to have fun in the cars but the place to let yourself go is in a controlled environment, ie on a track in one of our track cars...
6.Can my partner drive the cars?
Yes, as long as they meet the conditions as set out for all members i.e. driving experience and licence condition.
7.Can I share a membership with a friend.
Yes you can share a membership as long as you both meet member conditions. It would be up to you both to use your points between you fairly.
8. Do I have to collect or will you deliver the cars or bikes?
You can collect for free or pay £2 per mile for us to deliver or collect.
If we deliver it will be in a closed vehicle so the car is nice & clean when it gets to you.
If you collect, we will store your car FOC.
9.Do you have a corporate rate? Could I then bring customers & staff?
Yes, yes and yes. Call us for more details rates depend upon specific proposals.
10. Do I have to be a full member of Eau Rouge to drive the vehicles or do you do a "pay as you go" programme?
We will spot hire some of the cars, all be it at a higher rate, without joining. Trackday programmes are available for (corporate) hire. Please contact us for details.
11. How does insurance work?
All the cars are insured fully comprehensively by ourselves for all of our members. Each car has an insurance excess which differs depending on car value. If a member damages the car then the damage will be charged at the cost of repair if less than the excess amount or the excess if the cost is higher. Excess costs for each car are shown below each car as security dep.
12. Can I reduce the insurance excess?
You can reduce the excess by 50% if you pay a CDW of £450 for that years membership.
13. What other costs are involved in mebership?
Apart from paying for minor damage up to the insurance excess all you will pay extra for is fuel, delivery charges and extra mileage over the specified allowance.
14. What happens if I get caught speeding whilst in an Eau Rouge car?
Any speeding offences recieved by Eau Rouge will be forwarded to the driver of the car on that day.
15. Can I take the cars abroad?
Yes you can take them to mainland Europe but you will need to inform Eau Rouge for insurance purposes.
16. What happens if there is a problem with the car?
All the cars are covered by breakdown insurance. We will endeavour to provide another car if the problem cannot be fixed immediately.
17.How many members are there per car?
We will limit the member to car ratio to 6-7 members per car to ensure excellent availability to all members as we grow.
18.Do I get anything if I introduce a new member?
We will credit your account with an extra 500 points. We are very keen to promote membership which encourages a club like feel where members know each other and to meet and identify with other like-minded people.
